The future of breakaway roping is so bright on the horizon with all of the little girls around the world dreaming of becoming the next World Champion Breakaway Roper! Emmry and Lilly Edwards talk about all of the special things that they love about breakaway roping, their horses, practice sessions, competitions, and so much more.

This event is truly something special, and the heart of the production comes from Jill and Travis Edwards. In 2022 the Edwards grew their breakaway roping event by 125%. There were over 100+ little girls that competed in the Something Special Breakaway Roping this year! There are so many people who have jumped on board and that have been involved as sponsors and supporters of growing this event! Paden Bray said, “This is like the NFR of little girls breakaway roping.”

I loved visiting with these two girls because it reignites the fire inside of me, and reminds me of when I was a little girl and the love for the sport of rodeo that I had! The perspective of roping through their eyes is something very special!
